The New Croton Aqueduct has supplied water to New York City since 1890. SUPERSTRUCTURES, as a consultant to Minelli Construction Co., Inc., the construction contractor, is providing materials conservation services for the exterior restoration of five granite masonry building structures associated with relieving shafts 9, 11A, 18, 23 and 25. The materials conservation program will address -mortar types, colors and mixes; cleaning methods and materials; repair methods and materials; and periodic field visits.
